Mexican municipalities launch youth mental health and pet sterilization campaigns
On June 10, the Hermosillo municipal government, in partnership with the Institute of Youth and the municipal health department, held a free Youth Mental Health Day at the Centro La Posada del Buen Samaritano. The event targeted 12‑ to 29‑year‑olds and included talks on self‑diagnosis, the impact of social media on adolescents, and strategies for healthier digital habits.
The following day, June 11, the Aguascalientes municipal health office organized a free animal‑sterilization clinic in Villas de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, offering 60 appointments for dogs and cats that meet age and health requirements. Participants must bring identification, a pet health record, and comply with pre‑procedure guidelines; donors were also asked to contribute used notebooks for a local book‑exchange program.
