Coatzacoalcos hosts free Festival del Mar 2026 with concerts, conferences and food

From August 7‑9, 2026 the city of Coatzacoalcos in Veracruz will hold the second edition of the Festival del Mar, a free‑entry cultural event. The program includes daily master‑class conferences, concerts by national and international artists such as Manuel Turizo, Javier Camarena, Natalia Jiménez, Eugenia León and the Arrolladora Banda El Limón, and a range of family‑friendly activities – workshops, art displays, giant kites and a gastronomic pavilion.

The municipal government will also open a special commercial corridor on the Malecón Costero for entrepreneurs, food‑truck operators, artisans and semi‑fixed vendors. The area will be alcohol‑free, pedestrian‑only and offered at no cost to participants who meet licensing requirements. Security inspections by Protección Civil will be carried out for food‑truck and restaurant stalls. The festival aims to boost local tourism, support small businesses and provide a safe, inclusive environment for visitors.
