Mexican Open-Water Swimmer Dalia Moreno Prepares for 2026 Santo Domingo Games

From July 16 to 23, open‑water swimmer Dalia Berenice Moreno Velasco and coach José Fermín Martínez Naranjo joined the Mexican national team at the Centro Nacional de Desarrollo de Talentos Deportivos y Alto Rendimiento (CONADE) for their final training camp. The week‑long concentration serves as the last preparation before the team departs for the Central American and Caribbean Games, scheduled to begin on July 24 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Games are a key milestone in Mexico’s Olympic cycle, allowing athletes to gauge their performance against the region’s best and to progress toward higher‑level competitions.

Moreno, representing Aguascalientes, will compete in the open‑water events at the 2026 Games, aiming to improve her standing among Central American and Caribbean athletes.
