Mexican police seize narcotics in two operations

Authorities in Mexico conducted two separate drug interdiction operations. In the La Rinconada colonia of La Paz, a 51‑year‑old man identified as Omar N was stopped after failing to obey a traffic stop. Police recovered 102 small packages containing an estimated 191 g of narcotics—about 4,775 doses—along with a gram scale, cash and a red Nissan March. The seized items were handed to the public prosecutor for further investigation.

In a coordinated patrol in the Carolina colonia of Cuernavaca, Morelos, a 31‑year‑old man named Juan Carlos N was intercepted while handling small objects on the street. Officers from the Municipal Police, the National Guard and the Navy seized five doses of a substance described as “cristal” and four packages of suspected heroin. The suspect was taken to police custody and placed under the jurisdiction of the public prosecutor for drug‑related offenses.
