Mexican police seize over 150 kg methamphetamine in Baja California and bust 1,700 doses in Michoacán

In Baja California, agents from the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana, the Secretaría de Marina and the Fiscalía General de la República seized 150 kg of methamphetamine, equivalent to about 3.75 million doses, after following leads from a prior detention. The haul is expected to cost criminal organizations roughly 38 million pesos and has been turned over to the public prosecutor for further investigation.

In the capital of Michoacán, Morelia, three separate raids carried out by the High‑Impact Investigation Police, K9 units, the National Guard and the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional resulted in the seizure of 1,719 doses of methamphetamine across three locations. The operations led to the arrests of Salvador N., 49‑year‑old Adrián N., and Brenda Janeth N., and were authorized by a control judge.

Both operations underscore the coordinated effort of Mexican security forces to disrupt drug trafficking and seize large quantities of methamphetamine before they reach the streets.
