PAN strengthens political structure in Chihuahua ahead of 2027 elections
The National Action Party (PAN) is intensifying its organizational efforts ahead of the 2027 elections. In Chihuahua, national president Jorge Romero Herrera officially appointed Marco Bonilla Mendoza as the state coordinator for the 'Defense of the Homeland, Family, and Liberty.' The appointment, held during a large event in Ciudad Juárez, aims to establish a political structure to monitor polling stations and defend the party's interests.
Romero expressed confidence in maintaining PAN's control in Chihuahua and suggested the possibility of forming alliances with other parties and civic organizations to counter Morena. This sentiment was echoed by PRI leader Alejandro Moreno, who argued that a PAN-PRI alliance would surpass Morena's current polling numbers in the state.
In Querétaro, state leader Martín Arango announced that the party intends to follow a gender alternation policy, noting that while a man will lead the candidacy for the governorship in 2027, a woman will be nominated for the following cycle. The party is focusing on selecting highly competitive candidates to secure various state and federal positions in the upcoming electoral processes.
