Mexican law enforcement seizes drugs and arrests suspects in Veracruz, Baja California and Morelia
The Veracruz State Attorney General's Office linked José Julián “N” to a November 2025 disappearance and vehicle theft at a tourist complex in Catemaco, confirming preventive detention in criminal case 116/2026.
In a joint operation in Mexicali, Baja California, federal and state forces seized a Cessna 206 aircraft carrying 24 kg of cocaine, 24 chargers, 377 cartridges, three vehicles and one property, inflicting an estimated MX$5 million loss on organized crime.
Security forces conducting operations across 32 municipalities in Veracruz captured 42 suspects and seized roughly 75 kg of drugs, including crystal, marijuana and cash, as well as numerous firearms and vehicles.
A statewide crackdown in Chihuahua resulted in 66 arrests during the first week of June and the seizure of 2,160 doses of cocaine, 730 doses of crystal and 94 kg of marijuana, valued at over MX$1.2 million.
In Morelia, the State Prosecutor's Office reported the confiscation of more than 1,700 drug doses following coordinated raids.
