Mexican security forces seize over 73,000 liters of stolen fuel in Guanajuato

Federal and state authorities in the Mexican state of Guanajuato carried out two separate operations against fuel theft. In Penjamo, army units, state police and Pemex security personnel dismantled a distribution center, confiscating 63,000 liters of illicit fuel, 11 containers, a vehicle and various extraction and storage equipment. No arrests were reported.

In Tepatitlán’s La Providencia area, a patrol by Mexican soldiers uncovered a clandestine gasoline station. Investigators seized about 10,506 liters of stolen gasoline, five containers, hoses, dispensing pistols and related gear. The material was turned over to the Federal Public Prosecutor for further investigation, and no suspects were detained.
