Mexican states expand support and resources for women-led projects

In Aguascalientes, Mexico, the state government reported a 274% increase in beneficiaries of the 'Tarjeta Rosa' program over the last four years. More than 14,200 projects led by women have received support through this initiative. The state's safety and support network for women includes 24,900 'Agentes Rosas', nine 'Casas Rosas', and 355 'Puntos Seguros'. Additionally, the government provides 65 childcare centers, 100% scholarships at the Universidad Intercultural para la Igualdad, and free health services, including treatment for breast and cervical cancer.

In the Sierra Gorda region of Querétaro, the Secretariat of Labor provided equipment to 26 productive projects led by women across five municipalities: Jalpan de Serra, Arroyo Seco, Landa de Matamoros, Peñamiller, and Pinal de Amoles. This initiative aims to strengthen self-employment and foster economic autonomy for women in these mountainous areas.
