Mexican states modernize school paperwork and report near‑perfect graduation rates

The state of Morelos announced a digital overhaul of basic‑level school procedures. Using the MICEEB school‑control system, teachers can download electronic report cards that include QR codes for on‑line verification, allowing families to access, reprint, and confirm documents instantly. For the 2025‑2026 school cycle the state generated 319,971 electronic report cards and 82,809 certificates of study completion, reducing paper use and improving security.

In Baja California Sur, education secretary Alicia Meza presented the 2025‑2026 cycle indicators, noting a 99.5% terminal efficiency in basic education and a historic low dropout rate of 1.0%. Coverage in upper secondary reached 89%, ranking the state second nationally. However, a teachers’ strike in June prevented final assessments from being carried out, leaving some data incomplete despite the strong performance metrics.
