Mexican Stock Market and Wall Street Rise Amid Oil Price Surge

The Mexican Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) opened higher on July 13, 2026, gaining 0.08% to 66,550 points, marking a second consecutive day of gains after a weekly loss. A broader Latin American market snapshot showed several regional indices gaining: Brazil’s IBOV up 2.97%, Chile’s IPSA up 0.28%, and Mexico’s IPC up 0.59%, while other markets experienced mixed moves. Commodity prices were volatile: Brent crude rose 4.20% and WTI 4.34%, copper fell 0.52%, gold slipped 1.10% and silver 2.80%. Agricultural products showed strong gains in corn (+6.68%) and wheat (+1.58%) but declines in coffee (‑10.74%).
