Mexican students achieve perfect UNAM admission scores

Two Mexican high‑school graduates earned flawless results on the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) admission test for medicine. Brisa Nisdany García Santiago, a 17‑year‑old from San Baltazar Guelavila, Oaxaca, scored 120 correct answers out of 120, matching her earlier perfect result on the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana exam. She studied at CETis 124, achieved the highest GPA in her class, and emphasized the honesty of her indigenous community while expressing willingness to retake the exam if UNAM’s review of alleged irregularities requires it.

Karla Renata Becerra Sordo, an 18‑year‑old from Macuspana, Tabasco, also achieved a perfect 120‑point score, becoming the first woman from Tabasco to do so. Inspired by her grandfather’s illness, she prepared intensively from an early age and is ready to begin UNAM’s propedeutic course in medicine. UNAM has announced a review of the online selection process that produced these results, and both students said they would repeat the exam if needed.
