UNAM releases results for in-person undergraduate admission exam
The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) has released the results of its in-person control examination for the 2026-2027/1 undergraduate admission cycle. This extraordinary measure was implemented following the detection of irregular scores and potential fraud during the initial online examination process.
For the upcoming academic year, UNAM will admit 49,074 new students. This total includes 28,151 students admitted through the 'Pase Reglamentado' and 20,923 through the selection contest. The final number of students admitted via the selection contest represents 1,039 fewer spots than the 21,962 originally anticipated from the invalidated online test.
Data indicates that the in-person exam resulted in significantly lower passing thresholds compared to the online version. For instance, the minimum score for Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine dropped from 117 to 92. Other notable declines occurred in Nursing, Dentistry, and Law.
Selected applicants can access their results and necessary documentation, such as assignment letters and enrollment proofs, through the Dirección General de Administración Escolar (DGAE) website using their folio numbers. Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 31.
