Mexicana adds five weekly flights linking Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Mexico City’s AIFA

Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar met with Mexicana de Aviación director Leobardo Ávila Bojórquez to announce a new air link between Tuxtla Gutiérrez’s Ángel Albino Corzo International Airport and the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). Starting 6 July, five flights per week will operate: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday departures at 8:50 a.m. (AIFA‑Tuxtla) and 10:50 a.m. (Tuxtla‑AIFA), plus a Sunday service at 12:30 p.m. and 14:30 p.m. respectively.

Round‑trip tickets will cost from 1,898 pesos and one‑way fares from 949 pesos, taxes included. The route is intended to boost social, economic and tourism activity in Chiapas, giving the state the highest frequency within Mexicana’s network and facilitating greater visitor flow to the region’s historic, cultural and natural attractions.
