Mexico: 91.8 million mobile lines completed mandatory linking process

In Mexico, more than 91.8 million mobile phone lines have completed the mandatory linking process, according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission. This figure represents 76.5 percent of the expected total. The authority noted that the calculation includes a cleanup of approximately 25 million lines considered out of use, such as unactivated SIM cards, single-use chips, or numbers used for temporary promotions.

For users whose service was suspended due to incomplete procedures, service can be recovered immediately by completing the process with their provider. The registration schedule is organized by the last digit of the phone number. Following the block ending in three, the schedule for remaining digits is as follows: four by October 15, five by October 31, six by November 15, seven by November 30, eight by December 15, and nine by December 31. Registration can be done through service centers or digital platforms.
