Mexico adds 48 air routes and launches local‑product campaign to spur tourism and commerce
The Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco) announced the addition of 48 new air routes in June, including 12 domestic and international services from Puebla’s Hermanos Serdán International Airport. The expanded connectivity is expected to increase hotel occupancy, dining and retail activity, benefit thousands of family‑run businesses, and support conventions, business travel and internal tourism across the country.
As part of Concanaco’s “Friday Muy Mexicano” program, more than 180 retailers in Baja California Sur have joined a nationwide effort to promote the purchase of Mexican‑made products. The initiative, highlighted by the state’s Secretary of Tourism and Economy, aims to strengthen the local market, create jobs and generate additional economic spillover for families in the region.
