Mexico advances new hospitals and clinics in Tabasco and Oaxaca

Governor Javier May of Tabasco signed a convention to build the third‑level Hospital MAC in the SAMÁR commercial‑residential complex in Villahermosa. The project, valued at 1.5 billion pesos, is part of the “Villahermosa 2030” plan and will be the 28th facility of the MAC hospital group, aiming to boost local employment and medical capacity.

In Cuicatlán, Oaxaca, municipal authorities, the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples and ISSSTE officials approved the subdivision of land donated by the Indigenous Peoples Coordination Center for a new ISSSTE clinic. The clinic will serve state workers, teachers, police and their families, providing primary care, medication, hospitalisation and surgeries, and marks the revival of a project stalled under the previous administration.
