Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno (SABG) has achieved 83.8 billion pesos in savings over the past two years. These savings were generated through improved purchasing practices, strategic dialogue with suppliers, more efficient contract administration, and the collection of fines and penalties.

Specifically, 29 billion pesos were saved through improved procurement, 42.2 billion pesos through contract monitoring, and 4.8 billion pesos through the collection of fines and debts. Additionally, 7.8 billion pesos were attributed to administrative restructuring.

In terms of enforcement, the agency reported 4,193 administrative sanctions against public servants and 286 sanctions against providers, with 222 of those including fines or disqualifications. Furthermore, 53 public servants have been linked to criminal processes for corruption-related offenses during this period. The SABG continues to work with the Tribunal Federal de Justicia Administrativa and the Auditoría Superior de la Federación to improve public management and prevent corruption.
