Mexico authorities detain six in search for missing journalist Roxana Guzmán

Six people were arrested in a security operation in Nanchital, Veracruz, as investigators continue probing the disappearance of journalist Roxana Guzmán. The detainees, identified by aliases such as “N” and “Rafa”, were taken from a monitored residence and are currently providing statements to the state prosecutor's office in Coatzacoalcos.

Governor Rocío Nahle García affirmed that the search for Guzmán, who was abducted on 2 June and whose kidnapping was captured on video, does not depend on her profession but on her status as a missing person. State and federal security forces have been deployed, a vehicle linked to the case was located, and multiple investigative lines are being pursued by the Fiscalía General del Estado.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to determine the motives and locate the journalist.
