Mexico authorities seize 18,000 L of stolen fuel and arrest four drug suspects
In an inter‑agency operation in Tepeaca, officials seized approximately 17,880 litres of fuel suspected of being stolen, along with a pipeline truck and three tanker‑equipped trucks. The raid, led by the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) with support from state security forces, national guard, municipal police, civil protection, fire services and Pemex specialists, is described as one of the most significant recent blows against fuel‑theft networks in the region known as the "Red Triangle" of Puebla.
Separately, municipal police in Irapuato detained four individuals after locating crystal‑type methamphetamine, marijuana and replica firearms during routine surveillance. The arrests include two adults and two 16‑year‑old teenagers, who authorities say may have been involved in store robberies. All seized items and the detainees have been turned over to the competent authorities for further investigation.
