Mexican Navy Seizes 834 kg Cocaine in Tonalá, Chiapas

Federal authorities in Mexico reported that the Secretaría de Marina (Mexican Navy) intercepted a vehicle in the municipality of Tonalá, Chiapas, containing 834 kilograms of a white powder identified preliminarily as cocaine. The operation was carried out jointly with the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) and the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana (SSPC) as part of the government's national security strategy.

Officials said the seizure averts the distribution of roughly 1.66 million individual doses and represents an economic loss of more than 181 million Mexican pesos for the criminal groups involved. The vehicle and the seized substance were placed under the custody of the competent authorities for forensic verification. No arrests were made during the raid.
