Mexico authorities seize illegal motorcycles in Playa del Carmen and shut down five alcohol warehouses in Celaya
In Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, the State Attorney General's Office led a raid on a workshop suspected of operating illegally. The operation, supported by the National Defense Secretariat, National Guard and municipal police, resulted in the seizure of three Bajaj motorcycles without plates, a motorcycle frame and a motor. The premises were sealed for further investigation into possible vehicle‑theft connections.
In Celaya, Guanajuato, a joint effort by the municipal security department and the State Tax Administration (SATEG) inspected five warehouses on the Celaya–Salvatierra road. Four facilities lacked proper liquor‑sale licenses and one presented allegedly forged documents. Authorities confiscated more than 74,000 low‑alcohol beverages and 312 high‑alcohol drinks and closed the five warehouses. The operation concluded without incident and is part of a broader strategy to combat illegal alcohol trade.
