Liga Mexicana del Pacífico partners with Banamex for 2026-27 season

The Liga Mexicana del Pacífico (LMP) has entered a new era for the 2026-27 season, headlined by a major strategic partnership with Banamex. The bank will serve as the league's naming partner, supporting a long-term institutional strategy known as BASE, which aims to professionalize operations and expand the league's international presence by 2030.

Technical and regulatory changes are also being implemented to modernize the game. These include the introduction of a pitch clock to increase game tempo and an Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) challenge system, similar to those used in Major League Baseball. Additionally, the Mayos de Navojoa will return to the league, and Hermosillo has been named the host for the 2027 Caribbean Series.

In broader economic and technological contexts, Mexican officials are working to strengthen regional supply chains ahead of the T-MEC review and seeking to increase steel exports at the G20 ministerial meeting. Meanwhile, the digital landscape continues to evolve with discussions on AI's role in marketing, urban management, and social media content creation.
