Mexico City and Edomex vehicle restrictions for October 19 and 20

The Hoy No Circula program will enforce vehicle circulation restrictions in Mexico City and the State of Mexico on October 19 and 20, 2026.

On Monday, October 19, vehicles with yellow decals and license plate endings of 5 or 6 are restricted from 5:00 to 22:00 hours. This applies to vehicles with holograms 1 or 2. Drivers who violate these rules may face fines between 2,346 and 3,519 pesos and potential vehicle impoundment.

On Tuesday, October 20, the restriction shifts to vehicles with pink decals and license plate endings of 7 or 8, also between 5:00 and 22:00 hours for those with holograms 1 and 2.

Exempt from these restrictions are electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicles with hologram 0 or 00, motorcycles, agricultural tractors, and certain industrial machinery. No environmental contingency has been declared by the Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis (CAMe), so no additional emergency restrictions are in effect.
