Mexico City and State of Mexico Enforce Saturday 'Hoy No Circula' Limits on June 20

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the "Hoy No Circula" program reactivated in Mexico City and the adjoining State of Mexico municipalities. Vehicles are restricted from 05:00 to 22:00 based on their plate ending and verification hologram: cars with hologram 1 and an odd‑ending plate cannot circulate, while those with hologram 2 are barred every Saturday. Vehicles displaying hologram 0 or 00 are exempt.

The restrictions also apply to a list of neighboring municipalities including Atizapán, Coacalco, Ecatepec and others. Exemptions cover electric, hybrid or natural‑gas vehicles, cars registered to persons with disabilities, public‑service, school and emergency vehicles, and those used for security or civil protection. Violations attract fines of 20–30 times the UMA (about 1,924 – 2,886 MXN) and possible vehicle impoundment.
