Mexico City Hoy No Circula restricts vehicles on July 13, 2026
The environmental program Hoy No Circula in the Mexico City metropolitan area issued its schedule for early July 2026. On Sunday 12 July 2026 the program allowed all vehicles to circulate, with exemptions for electric, hybrid, zero‑hologram and specially‑plated cars, while foreign‑registered and non‑verified vehicles remained barred from weekday travel.
On Monday 13 July 2026 the program reinstated restrictions: any vehicle bearing a yellow verification sticker, a license plate ending in 5 or 6, or a hologram‑verification level 1 or 2 must stay off the roads. Vehicles with hologram 0 or 00, electric or hybrid cars, and those with hologram 1 or 2 but without the yellow sticker or restricted plate numbers may circulate. Violations carry fines of 2,346 to 3,519 pesos and possible impoundment. The rules apply across the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and the listed municipalities of the State of Mexico.
