Mexico City implements Saturday Hoy No Circula restrictions
The Mexico City Ministry of the Environment (SEDEMA) has reinstated the Saturday Hoy No Circula regulations to control automobile emissions and reduce pollution levels in the Valley of Mexico.
The restrictions apply to the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and several municipalities in the State of Mexico, including Ecatepec de Morelos, Naucalpan de Juárez, Nezahualcóyotl, and Tlalnepantla de Baz, among others. Compliance is determined by the vehicle's verification hologram, the last digit of the license plate, and whether it is an even or odd week.
The mandatory driving restrictions are in effect from 05:00 to 22:00 hours. Outside of this timeframe, vehicle circulation is permitted.
