Mexico City police pursued motorcyclists who sprayed fire extinguisher powder

Two men on a motorcycle engaged in a high-speed chase with officers from the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC) in Mexico City. During the pursuit, the suspects reportedly sprayed fire extinguisher powder at the officers to evade capture.

The chase began near Eje 2 Norte and continued through the Pensador Mexicano neighborhood in the Venustiano Carranza borough. The pursuit ended when one of the attackers abandoned the motorcycle and fled into a building, aided by a group of people who prevented authorities from making an arrest.

While the suspects remain at large, the SSC successfully confiscated the motorcycle and the fire extinguisher used in the attack. Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage to identify the individuals involved. Under Mexico City's Penal Code, disobeying legitimate authority mandates can result in prison sentences ranging from six months to two years.
