Mexico City repairs water main leaks in Gustavo A. Madero borough
The Secretariat of Integrated Water Management (Segiagua) completed repairs on two water‑re‑use leaks and three potable‑water leaks caused by a 750‑meter crack on Avenida José Loreto Fabela in the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City. The crack, about 1.3 m deep, resulted from a combination of natural site characteristics, gradual subsidence and flood susceptibility. No water‑supply interruptions were reported, and inspections continue to locate any additional damage.
Authorities urge residents and drivers to avoid the work zone, follow instructions and respect barricades while the final road rehabilitation is carried out by the borough government and the Secretariat of Works and Services.
