Mexico City Saturday Hoy No Circula Restrictions Apply July 4
The metropolitan traffic program Hoy No Circula will be enforced on Saturday, 4 July, across Mexico City and the State of Mexico. Vehicles bearing verification hologram 1 with odd‑ending plates, hologram 2 regardless of plate ending, and all foreign‑registered plates are prohibited from circulating between 05:00 and 22:00. No "Double" Hoy No Circula measure is activated because atmospheric monitoring does not meet Phase 1 contingency criteria.
Exempt vehicles include those with hologram 0 or 00, electric and hybrid cars, emergency and cargo vehicles, and those holding a tourist pass for the capital. The program covers the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and surrounding municipalities such as Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco, Ecatepec and others. Violations carry fines of 20 to 30 Units of Measurement and Update (UMA), equivalent to roughly 2,300‑3,500 Mexican pesos.
