Mexico City Hoy No Circula limits set for July 10‑13, 2026
The environmental “Hoy No Circula” program in Mexico City and the State of Mexico announced vehicle restrictions for several dates in July 2026.
On Friday 10 July, cars with yellow verification stickers and plate numbers ending in 5 or 6 are prohibited from 05:00 to 22:00. Saturday 11 July follows the weekend schedule: vehicles with hologram 1 and even‑ending plates cannot circulate, while those with holograms 0, 00 or electric/hybrid models are exempt. Monday 13 July again restricts yellow‑sticker cars with plates ending in 5 or 6. The program applies to the capital and 16 surrounding municipalities in the State of Mexico.
Exemptions include emergency, electric, hybrid, certain low‑weight, agricultural, and disabled‑plate vehicles, among others. Fines for violations range from 20 to 30 times the daily UMA, roughly 1,924 MXN to 2,886 MXN. Air‑quality monitoring indicated no double‑contingency trigger, so the restrictions remain at their normal level. The measures aim to cut emissions across the metropolitan area during periods of higher pollution risk.
