Mexico City vehicle restrictions active for Tuesday, August 11
The Hoy No Circula program is in effect for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Mexico City and the State of Mexico. Under the current regulations set by the Secretaría del Medio Ambiente (SEDEMA) and the Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis (CAMe), vehicles with pink stickers and license plates ending in 7 or 8 that carry holograms 1 or 2 are prohibited from circulating.
The restrictions apply from 5:00 to 22:00 hours across the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and the surrounding municipalities in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico. There is currently no active environmental contingency, and air quality levels are reported as acceptable.
Exempt from these restrictions are electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicles with hologram 00 or 0, motorcycles, agricultural tractors, and certain specialized transport services. Failure to comply with the program may result in fines according to the Mexico City Transit Regulations.
