Mexico City vehicle restrictions schedule for August 24–29, 2026
The Hoy No Circula environmental program, which limits vehicle circulation in Mexico City and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico, will operate under normal restrictions for the week of August 24 to 29, 2026. No extraordinary measures due to environmental contingencies have been activated.
According to the Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis (CAMe), the weekly schedule is as follows:
• Monday, August 24: Yellow sticker, license plates ending in 5 and 6. • Tuesday, August 25: Pink sticker, license plates ending in 7 and 8. • Wednesday, August 26: Red sticker, license plates ending in 3 and 4. • Thursday, August 27: Green sticker, license plates ending in 1 and 2. • Friday, August 28: Blue sticker, license plates ending in 9 and 0. • Saturday, August 29: Vehicles with Hologram 2, official public transport, and those with special permits are restricted, while Hologram 0, 00, and 1 vehicles circulate normally.
Vehicles with Holograms 00 and 0, as well as electric and hybrid vehicles, remain exempt from these restrictions unless an environmental contingency is declared. The operational hours for these restrictions are from 05:00 to 22:00 local time.
