Mexico completes six new technological high schools

The Mexican federal government, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and the State of Mexico government, under Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, have completed the construction of six new technological high schools as part of the ‘Plan Oriente’.

The new campuses are located in Chalco, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec, Ixtapaluca, Nezahualcóyotl, and Texcoco. Together, they provide capacity for 8,910 students. The schools offer technical programs in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Nanotechnology, Logistics, and Nursing.

In addition to these new constructions, the Plan Oriente included the conversion of existing campuses in Chalco, Chimalhuacán, Ixtapaluca, Ecatepec, Valle de Chalco, and Chicoloapan to better serve the region's educational needs. The initiative aims to increase enrollment by 4,950 new upper secondary education spots.
