Aguascalientes C5i Wins Innovation Award, State Grants 1,000 AI Scholarships
The Centro de Comando, Control, Comunicación, Cómputo, Coordinación e Inteligencia (C5i) of Aguascalientes was recognized as Mexico's leading emergency center at TechDay 2026. Airbus Public Safety and Security México awarded the honor, citing the centre's advanced technology, real‑time information analysis and coordinated response model. The recognition was highlighted by C5i head Michelle Olmos Álvarez and attributed to the security plan led by Governor Tere Jiménez.
Separately, the state government, through the Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología del Estado de Aguascalientes (Incytea), announced 1,000 fully funded scholarships for university students to receive specialized training in artificial intelligence. The program, directed by Incytea director Ana Claudia Morales Dueñas, will be delivered by the Mexican tech firm Academia Inadaptados and will involve students from institutions such as the Universidad Tecnológica de Aguascalientes, Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana de Aguascalientes, Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes and several others.
