Baja California Sur expands justice, jobs, health and vehicle verification

The state’s Attorney General, Antonio López Rodríguez, announced that Early Attention Units will remain open 24 hours a day throughout the summer holidays in all five municipalities of Baja California Sur. The offices will keep receiving complaints, and the public is urged to use the free anonymous tip line (800 474 5322) or the mobile app for confidential reports.

The Secretariat of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Rural Development (SEPADA) and the Secretariat of Labor, Welfare and Social Development (STByDS), through the National Employment Service, signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen rural employment. The pact provides training, job placement and support for youth, women, small producers and persons with disabilities in the state.

The Health Secretariat, led by Adrián Medina Amarillas, launched a public‑health plan for indigenous and Afro‑Mexican communities in San Quintín. Health caravans will serve 200 communities, 20 local health committees were created, and families received gas vouchers and basic food baskets.

The state government’s Finance and Administration Secretariat introduced a digital platform for vehicle verification. Thirty‑five tablets were supplied to 25 tax offices to capture vehicle photos, with future phases allowing citizens to submit images via their phones, speeding up the verification process.
