Mexico FGR initiates legal proceedings against individual for hydrocarbon possession

The Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) has initiated legal proceedings against Miguel «N» for the alleged possession of hydrocarbons. The individual was detained in the municipality of Fortín de las Flores while traveling in a vehicle with plates from the state of Tlaxcala.

Authorities reported that the suspect was found in possession of approximately 173 liters of hydrocarbon without being able to prove legal ownership. Following an initial hearing where the suspect failed to appear, a judicial authority issued an arrest warrant, which was executed by the Policía Federal Ministerial on September 18, 2026.

A control judge has ordered the legal process to proceed, imposing a requirement for biweekly appearances and a five-thousand-peso economic guarantee while a one-month period for complementary investigation is established.
