FGR legal proceedings in Mexico
Overview
Legal proceedings have been initiated by the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) regarding various criminal activities in Mexico.
In Durango, a security official identified as Georgina “N” has been linked to trial for her alleged involvement in the forced disappearance and aggravated homicide of a man in March 2022. Following her arrest in Quintana Roo, a federal judge ordered mandatory pretrial detention for the accused.
In a separate matter, the FGR has also pursued legal action against Miguel «N» for the alleged possession of approximately 173 liters of hydrocarbon in Fortín de las Flores. After the suspect failed to appear at an initial hearing, an arrest warrant was executed, leading a control judge to order the legal process to proceed with a requirement for biweekly appearances.
