Mexico hosts 30th International Seminar on political parties and new society

The 30th International Seminar ‘Parties and a New Society’ opened in Mexico City on October 8, organized by Mexico’s Partido del Trabajo (PT). The event features participation from 260 delegates representing 101 political organizations and parties from 39 countries across America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Key figures involved include former Colombian President Gustavo Petro and a special message from Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. The seminar aims to foster unity among progressive forces and discuss the construction of a new world order. Discussions focus on socioeconomic models, national sovereignty, world peace, regional integration, and combating neofascism.

Participants are using the forum to analyze global power shifts and define strategic lines of action for progressive movements facing contemporary international challenges.
