Mexico launches Amber Alerts for missing minors in Tijuana and Chalco

Mexico’s public prosecutor offices have activated Amber Alerts to locate two separate groups of missing children. In Tijuana, Baja California, 15‑year‑old Fernanda Marian Barbosa Cervantes was last seen on 4 July 2026 in the Margaritas Residential area and is believed to be held by an adult male identified only as Ivan “N”. Authorities describe her appearance in detail and ask the public to report any information to emergency lines.

In the State of Mexico, an Amber Alert seeks the whereabouts of sisters Evelyn Aylin Castillo Montiel (4) and Kimberly Sherlyn Castillo Montiel (11), last seen on 10 April 2026 in Chalco. The younger child was wearing a gray sweatshirt and purple jacket; the older wore a gray sweatshirt, pink pants and pink shoes. The older sister has a speech disability and limited mobility. Police stress the risk of harm and request assistance through 911 and dedicated Amber Alert hotlines.

Both alerts emphasize the need for citizen cooperation and provide contact numbers for anonymous tips.
