Mexico launches National Week for Conservation

Mexico is launching the National Week for Conservation under the theme ‘Nature conservation: our future’. The central activities will take place from October 15 to 17 at the Botanical Garden of the Chapultepec Forest in Mexico City, with further nationwide activities scheduled throughout October and November.

Organized with the participation of the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (Conanp), the initiative aims to promote respect for ecosystems, biodiversity, and Mexican culture. The program includes environmental education workshops, cultural fairs, forest and beach cleanups, and various exhibitions. The goal is to foster a culture of care and recognize the work of scientists, volunteers, and local communities in protecting the nation's natural heritage.
