Mexico poised to profit from industrial reshoring and stronger North American supply chains
Analysts note that Mexico possesses several structural advantages – a strategic geographic location, a youthful population, extensive trade agreements, abundant natural resources and an established industrial base. Global crises and the push for more resilient supply chains are creating a window for the country to attract reshored manufacturing and deepen its role in the North American market.
Realising this potential, however, will require improvements in education, the rule of law and institutional quality, as geographic and treaty benefits alone cannot sustain long‑term growth.
