Mexico police investigate two bodies found wrapped in blankets in Tijuana and Chihuahua

A man whose body was wrapped in green, brown and animal‑print blankets, tied at the hands and feet and showing bullet wounds, was discovered on Lomas de Santa María street near the Cerro Colorado landfill in Tijuana. Municipal police, the National Guard and agents of the State Attorney General's Office secured the scene, which was later processed by forensic personnel before the body was taken to the Servicio Médico Forense for autopsy and identification.

Later that same day, another lifeless man wrapped in a blanket was located beside the free highway to Ciudad Juárez at the section known as Las Curvas del Perico in Chihuahua. Municipal police first attended the site, cordoned it off and handed the investigation to state prosecutors and forensic services, which also transferred the body to the forensic institute for a legal necropsy. The incident raised the total number of people executed in Mexico in July to seven.
