Mexican police seize drugs and illegal weapons in multiple city operations
Authorities in several Mexican cities carried out a series of arrests and seizures. In Tulum, police detained alleged drug distributor Jorge Luis "N", known as "El Aban", finding 101 doses of various substances, including marijuana, crystal, cocaine and others. In Playa del Carmen, a driver was stopped with packages containing marijuana, cocaine, crystal, LSD and additional drugs, along with cash and a notebook. Mexico City police captured eight people across five neighborhoods, confiscating roughly 200 small drug packages of marijuana and cocaine-like substances. Municipal police in Tijuana arrested a man suspected of extorting and threatening local merchants. In Atlixco, two men were seized with a short‑firearm and ammunition reserved for the armed forces, plus a white Mercedes vehicle. The Tijuana city syndicate also launched digital kiosks allowing anonymous citizen reports of extortion and abuse by officials. All detainees have been handed over to the relevant prosecutors for further investigation.
