Mexico protests block major avenues in Toluca and Mexico City

More than 50 taxi drivers blocked Avenida Paseo Tollocan in Toluca, demanding the release of seized vehicles and faster administrative procedures from the State of Mexico's mobility secretariat. The blockade halted traffic for several kilometres, creating long queues and delaying motorists, public‑transport users and freight carriers.

In Mexico City, about 20 trans activists seized Paseo de la Reforma near the Senate after a demonstration at the Interior Ministry, setting fire to a door and tearing down barriers. They called for meetings on housing, employment, health and protection against discrimination, while street closures forced drivers onto alternative routes and limited service on several Metrobús lines.

Both protests disrupted key thoroughfares and highlighted ongoing grievances from distinct groups toward government authorities.
