Mexico road closures on July 12 disrupt traffic in Jiutepec and highways
The municipality of Jiutepec, Morelos, announced intermittent road closures on Saturday, July 11, from 16:00 to 18:00 to accommodate the city's LGBT Pride march. The partial closure affects Avenida Insurgentes between La Cerillera and the first block of Jiutepec, as well as nearby streets. Drivers were advised to leave early, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes; traffic officers will manage the flow.
Nationwide, authorities reported additional closures on Sunday, July 12. Heavy rain prompted a warning on the Córdoba‑Veracruz highway, while a vehicle accident caused a temporary partial closure of the Cuernavaca‑Acapulco highway near kilometer 120, later cleared. An incident near Totolac on the Mexico‑Puebla‑Ocotoxco road also required attention, after which traffic was restored. Motorists were urged to consult official notices before traveling.
