Mexico security forces conduct multi-state operations against crime

Federal security forces in Mexico conducted a series of coordinated operations across several states, resulting in multiple arrests, the seizure of weapons and drugs, and the rescue of a kidnapping victim.

In Sinaloa, the Mexican Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) and the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa) detained three men in Mazatlán for possessing a firearm. In the same state, naval elements seized eight slot machines in the community of Barrón and an AK-47 with five magazines in Concordia.

Broad operations involving the National Guard and the Mexican Army across Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Puebla, and Sinaloa led to 17 total arrests. Authorities seized at least 19 weapons, over 1,000 cartridges, and 31 kilograms of drugs. Notable seizures included 22 kilograms of cocaine at the Querétaro International Airport and four kilograms of cocaine in Ciudad Juárez. Additionally, federal forces liberated a person held against their will during a raid in Culiacán.
