On June 13, 2026, Mexico's Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) coordinated with the Navy, Defense Ministry, National Guard, state prosecutor and municipal authorities to conduct raids in 26 municipalities of Veracruz. The operations confiscated roughly 900 liters of hydrocarbon, more than 2 kg of marijuana, at least 230 doses of alleged narcotics, psychotropic pills and other substances.
The actions led to the detention of 35 individuals—13 for suspected health‑related crimes and five for illegal firearm possession. Authorities seized four short firearms, a shotgun, ammunition, four vehicles tied to criminal activity, several stolen motorcycles, a truck, as well as scales, pipes, a replica gun and cash. All detainees and seized items were handed over to the appropriate investigative bodies.
