Mexico sends 13 divers to 2026 World Junior Championships
Mexico is sending a delegation of 13 divers to the 2026 World Junior Diving Championships, held in Rijeka, Croatia, from August 21 to 28. The national team aims to build upon its historic performance at the 2024 championships in Brazil, where it secured four gold and four silver medals.
The Mexican squad consists of six female and seven male divers competing in various disciplines, including 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, 10-meter platform, and synchronized events. Notable athletes include Zyanya Yunuen Parra Martin, who seeks to improve upon her silver medal performance from the 2024 championships. Parra Martin, a double medalist from the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, plans to increase her difficulty by adding an extra dive to her 3-meter springboard routine, targeting a score of at least 400 points.
