Mexican participation in 2026 World Junior Diving

Mexico’s delegation of 13 divers continued to secure medals at the 2026 World Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. Following early successes by twins Mía and Lía Cueva in the women’s 1-meter springboard (ages 14-15) and Rut Páez in the 1-meter springboard (ages 16-18), the team expanded its medal count.

In the women’s 10-meter synchronized platform (ages 14-18), Adriana Torres and Suri Cueva earned silver with 292.02 points, finishing behind China’s Yuehan Jiang and Qingcheng Yuan. In the men’s category, Joshua Becerra placed fourth in the 3-meter springboard final (ages 16-18).

Recent performances added two more medals to the Mexican tally. Ian Caleb Nava Gutiérrez secured silver in the men’s 3m springboard (ages 14-15) with 476.60 points, trailing gold medalist Miroslav Kiselev of Russia. In the women’s 10m platform (ages 14-15), Lía Cueva Lobato earned bronze with a score of 331.55, following gold medalist Yuan Qingchen and silver medalist Yuehan Jiang. Her sister, Mía Cueva Lobato, finished seventh in that event.

As of the latest reports, Mexico has accumulated a total of eight medals at the championships, comprising two golds, four silvers, and two bronzes.
